- Electrical power surge protection
WCu electrodes protect electrical systems used in the industry and in households effectively against damages in the occurrence of power surges, for example in the case of a lightning strike.
With all its variants (e.g. spot welding, seam welding etc.) resistance welding has become an important mass-production process, for example in the production of electronic components and in the automotive sector.
WCu is well-suited as an electrode material for the gas laser (Excimer Laser), as its reaction around aggressive gases remains extremely stabile.
